Joint Concert

Carlton Male Voice Choir are thrilled to finally perform with the brilliant Derby based choir: Roll Royce Ladies with their conductor Christine Hunt and Accompanist John Lord. The concert will take place at the gorgeous St Michael with St Mary Parish Church on Church Square, Melbourne, Derby DE73 8JH.

This concert will be in aid of the charity: me&dee has a simple mission, to ensure families going through difficult and uncertain times are gifted with memories they can treasure, never losing sight of what truly matters. Because it’s those special moments shared with the ones we love, no matter how complicated circumstances may be, that are most precious of all.

There will be a raffle for charity at just £1 per strip!

Visiting Choir Joint Concert

 

with David Butterworth (organ)

Carlton Male Voice Choir welcomes our honoured guests Kidderminster Male Voice Choir with the Musical Director David Barclay to Nottingham for a joint concert at the wonderful St Paul’s Church, Mansfield Rd, Daybrook, Nottingham NG5 6BH. Our two choirs will be joined by celebrated guest organist David Butterworth MA MusB FRCO(CHM) FRSA on the A. Gern pipe organ of this beautiful venue.

This concert will use digital tickets only which are available here for just £1.00, all profits from your voluntary donations on the night will go to the Stroke Association!

Saturday 20th April 2024 – 7:30pm

Nottingham ‘Men Allowed’ Concert

A group of men ‘NOTTINGHAM MEN ALLOWED‘ will perform for the very first time live at a concert to be held at the massive Marcus Garvey Centre, 221 Lenton Blvd, Lenton, Nottingham NG7 2BY.

The concert is sponsored by Carlton Male Voice Choir who will also perform at the concert along with other special guests CARLTON BRASS and is in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. If you’d like to have fun and sing for a good cause then scan the QR CODE to get in touch.

PRELIMINARY HEAT 1

St Jude’s Community Halls, 405 Woodborough Road, Nottingham NG3 5HE

The Concert of HEAT 1 will start with a performance by Carlton MVC, showcasing their wide repertoire. There will be performances by up to 6 competitors with further performances by Carlton MVC during the evening. Members of the audience will be able to contribute to the voting by judges. Come along to support your competitor. Winner goes through to the final on 8th June (see event below)

Sunday 5th May 2024 – 4:00-6:00pm

Outdoor Performance

 

 

The choir have been invited back to perform outside the Pavilion Micro Pub in Mansfield for their very first CIDER & BEER FESTIVAL with 20+ ales and 15 ciders.

This brilliant little dog-friendly micro-pub was converted from a derelict racecourse pavilion near Racecourse Park into a live music venue with a great selection of guest beers. The choir will perform a set of well known and entertaining music for the public with plenty or singalong items so come along with your four-legged friend and enjoy something a little different from our choir!

Performance – Outdoor – Recruitment Event

The choir have been invited back to perform two sets again at Nottingham’s largest car show ‘Nottingham Motor Show‘ with its massive footfall and display of cars old and new, to be held at Wollaton Hall and Park, Nottingham, NG8 2AE hosted by the Pre-war Austin 7 Club

Last year the choir performed along with three classic minis – see the video here. We will no doubt cook up another plan for this special occasion!

Festival Concert 2024

Join us at our ‘jewel in the crown’ Festival Concert 2024, held at Nottingham’s fabulous Albert Hall, Nottingham NG1 5AA.

Our guests this year are the brilliant tribute band THE KINX! The band will perform live for the audience in the second half of the concert.

Plus the winner of our recently re-launched MUSIC MAKER competition will perform!

Performance – Outdoor – Recruitment Event

 

 

We are delighted to have been invited back to perform at the Patchings Art Fest in 2024 as they celebrate over 30 years of bringing together well known artists, artisans and art materials from across the country and further a field in the largest outdoor art festival in the country. The festival runs from Thurs 11th – Sat 13th July and the choir will perform 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Friday 12th July in the bandstand area opposite the food and refreshments so  grab your lunch and come and have a listen.

Patchings Art Centre can be found on Oxton Road, Calverton, Nottinghamshire. NG14 6NU

The choir will perform on a mid-summer morning at Chatsworth House for the very first time as part of  the Great British Motor ‘Classic and Performance’ Show where over 750 vehicles are expected to display along with a gin bar and excellent food on site!

Set within the beautiful Chatsworth Estate, Great British Motor Shows are delighted to return to the hugely popular estate in the Derbyshire countryside.

80th Anniversary Performance

 

Mansfield & District Male Voice Choir celebrate their 80th Anniversary and Carlton have been invited to partake in a wonderful, celebratory concert with other male voice guest choirs at Southwell Minster NG25 0HD all led by their MD Ian Grice. Tickets to this event will be on sale soon.

Our Christmas Festival concert this year will take on a difference and be held in the wonderful Bonington Theatre, High St, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 7EE. The show will start in the afternoon at 2pm.

Expect the unexpected as the choir delivers your usual Christmas festive favourites but in a brand new theatrical way!

The theatre has bar facilities, raked seating and great parking.
