Just been to St Paul’s Church, Daybrook for an absolutely fantastic concert by Carlton Male Voice Choir and Kidderminster Male Choir, in aid of the Stroke Association. If you get to see CMVC in action, you’ll be in for a treat!   Alison, who saw us in concert in April 2024.

Joint Concert

Carlton Male Voice Choir are thrilled to finally perform with the brilliant Derby based choir: Roll Royce Ladies with their conductor Christine Hunt and Accompanist John Lord. The concert will take place at the gorgeous St Michael with St Mary Parish Church on Church Square, Melbourne, Derby DE73 8JH.

This concert will be in aid of the charity: me&dee has a simple mission, to ensure families going through difficult and uncertain times are gifted with memories they can treasure, never losing sight of what truly matters. Because it’s those special moments shared with the ones we love, no matter how complicated circumstances may be, that are most precious of all.

There will be a raffle for charity at just £1 per strip!

Visiting Choir Joint Concert

Carlton Male Voice Choir welcomes our honoured guests Kidderminster Male Voice Choir with the Musical Director David Barclay to Nottingham for a joint concert at the wonderful St Paul’s Church, Mansfield Rd, Daybrook, Nottingham NG5 6BH. Our two choirs will be joined by celebrated guest organist David Butterworth MA MusB FRCO(CHM) FRSA on the A. Gern pipe organ of this beautiful venue.

This concert will use digital tickets only which are available here for just £1.00, all profits from your voluntary donations on the night will go to the Stroke Association!

Saturday 20th April 2024 – 7:30pm

Nottingham ‘Men Allowed’ Concert

A group of men ‘NOTTINGHAM MEN ALLOWED‘ will perform for the very first time live at a concert to be held at the massive Marcus Garvey Centre, 221 Lenton Blvd, Lenton, Nottingham NG7 2BY.

The concert is sponsored by Carlton Male Voice Choir who will also perform at the concert along with other special guests CARLTON BRASS and is in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. If you’d like to have fun and sing for a good cause then scan the QR CODE to get in touch.

The Concert of HEAT 1 will start with a performance by Carlton MVC, showcasing their wide repertoire. There will be performances by up to 6 competitors with further performances by Carlton MVC during the evening. Members of the audience will be able to contribute to the voting by judges. Get ready for a toe-tapping good time as the choir returns to the Pavilion Micro Pub in Mansfield for their inaugural CIDER & BEER FESTIVAL, featuring an impressive lineup of 20+ ales and 15 ciders!

This charming and dog-friendly micro-pub, ingeniously converted from a derelict racecourse pavilion near Racecourse Park, has become a beloved live music venue renowned for its fantastic selection of guest beers. Join us as the choir takes the stage to deliver a lively set of well-known tunes and entertaining music, complete with plenty of sing-along favorites.

The choir has been invited back to grace the stage not once, but twice at Nottingham’s premier car event, the ‘Nottingham Motor Show.’ Held at the iconic Wollaton Hall and Park, NG8 2AE, and hosted by the esteemed Pre-war Austin 7 Club, this show boasts a massive turnout and an impressive display of cars spanning the ages.

Last year, our choir had the pleasure of performing alongside three classic minis – check out the video here for a glimpse of the excitement! Rest assured, we’re cooking up another special plan for this year’s festivities.

Mansfield & District MVC

80th Anniversary

 

Our dear friends from the Mansfield & District Male Voice Choir are commemorating their 80th Anniversary in 2024. While Carlton MVC had been invited to participate in the celebratory concert, logistical constraints unfortunately prevent us from doing so. Nevertheless, we are eager to extend our support by promoting this significant event on our website. The concert, featuring several male voice guest choirs, will take place at Southwell Minster NG25 0HD under the direction of their MD, Ian Grice. Keep an eye out for ticket sales through their designated channels – it promises to be a memorable evening.

Carlton Male Voice Choir travels with our friends Bestwood Male Voice Choir to Louth and Lincoln for two special concerts:

Concert 1 – CMVC & BMVC perform at St James’ Church, Louth Westgate, Louth LN11 9YE. with Louth Male Voice Choir – 7:30pm

Concert 2 – CMVC & BMVC perform at a venue TBC to perform with Lincoln Orpheus Male Voice Choir – 7:00pm

This will be the first joint tour venture between Carlton and Bestwood Male Voice Choirs in the spirit of supportiveness and friendship.
